This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) governs how National Mental Health Management, LLC and its affiliated companies National Mental Health, LLC; National Mental Health Holdings, LLC (collectively "NMH”, "we", "our" or "us") use Personal Data (defined below in section 3) that we collect, receive and store about you (“user”, “you”) in connection with your use of any NMH-operated website or feature that links to this Privacy Policy (each, together with its sub-domains, content and services, a "Website" or collectively the “Websites”). This Privacy Policy is a part of NMH’s Terms of Use – see About page on our Website.  It is important that you carefully read both this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to our Website(s).  Our Website contains some links to other websites and services that are hosted and controlled by our trusted business partners who we have hired to provide you with specific services (“Excluded Services”).  In these instances, separate privacy policies will apply. We recommend you review their respective privacy policies prior to using the Excluded Services in order to fully understand how your Personal Data is being used.  For example, the following Excluded Services are not governed by this Privacy Policy:

  • The Patient Portal, which is subject to a separate privacy policy available in Athena Patient Portal accessible from Patient Portal page of our Website.

To the extent particular information associated with our Websites and/or Excluded Services qualifies as Protected Health Information (“PHI”) governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and its implementing regulations (“HIPAA”), and HIPAA affords greater privacy protections than this Privacy Policy, we will instead comply with the relevant HIPAA requirements as outlined in our Notice of Privacy Practices under our Website Homepage.

2. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change the terms of this Privacy Policy at any time, so check back frequently to review our current terms. You can see when this Privacy Policy was last updated by reviewing the “Last Updated” legend on the top of this page. We may provide you with notice of material changes to the Privacy Policy under certain circumstances.

The information provided to third parties does not include Personal Data, but this information may be re-associated with Personal Data after we receive it.

By way of example, as you browse our Website, advertising cookies may be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in. Our advertising partners then enable us to present you with retargeted advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with our Website.

We also may contract with third-party advertising networks and similar partners that collect IP addresses and other information from web beacons (see below) on our Website, from emails, and on third-party sites. Ad networks follow your online activities over time by collecting Website Navigational Information through automated means, including through the use of cookies. They use this information to provide advertisements about products and services tailored to your interests. You may see these advertisements on other websites. This process also helps us manage and track the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.

Third parties, with whom we partner to provide certain features on our Website or to display advertising based upon your web browsing activity, may use Flash cookies to collect and store information. Flash cookies are different from browser cookies because of the amount of, type of, and how data is stored.
